In conversation
On February 5, I'll be talking about the history of medicine at Hart's Books in beautiful Saffron Walden. Join me for an evening of discovery as I take you on a journey through the objects that have shaped modern healthcare. Details here.

The Society of Women Writers and Journalists is 130 years old. I had the great pleasure of speaking at their Christmas event and presenting the prize for the John Walter Silver Salver Trophy competition. Shortly before Christmas, I gave a talk about medical instruments at the Old Operating Theatre, London.
More events are in the pipeline including a talk for the Sick Children's Trust.

Update on pre-eclampsia
Together with colleagues at the charity APEC (Action on Pre-Eclampsia), I've developed an online educational module for family doctors to bring them up to date on the latest in pre-eclampsia and the other hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. It's available now via this link.
